Student Led Transition Program
Our JROTC Program is 160 Cadets strong and includes many children of active or retired military from nearby Patrick Space Force Base. We have Cadets that serve on our peer transition team who provide first hand knowledge of the physical campus with personalized tours, insights to our multiple school activities, and which appropriate school staff to reach out to for support.
The school has a student-led transition program to assist military students coming into the school. The program includes a student serving as transition team coordinator; a military peer-support system linking new military students with others at the school within 2 weeks of arrival; and, a process for familiarizing new students with the school campus, including student leaders and upcoming events.
BPS is committed to ensuring a peer-led, safe, and positive transition for students from military families into our schools. For support, please contact the Military Point of Contact listed at the top of this webpage.
